Job Description:

Work arrangement: 100% onsite, Bukit Batok

Main function: Manage team of 3-4 credit control executives. Look into mortgage collections, collateral management, liaison with legal parties.

Reporting to: VP, Credit Control

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the credit control team to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Review aging reports regularly and initiate appropriate collection actions.
  • Develop and implement credit control policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure department’s effectiveness.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (sales, finance, credit risk) to resolve billing or payment disputes.
  • Work closely with legal counsel on debt recovery when necessary.
  • Prepare monthly management reports on collection performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers while ensuring compliance with company credit terms.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
  • Motivate, train and coach the junior executive.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in credit control, with at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management and collection techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Secured Loans handling will be advantageous.  
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Good leadership with strong problem-solving skills.
